Ford Surprises Online Explorer Fan

When Pastor Russell Sterger told Ford, through their web site, that he wanted to take a group of 5 pastors to Alaska in a Ford Explorer, he didn't expect anything to come of it.

Well, since Russel Sterger's entry was part of Ford's new "Go. Do. Adventures." Campaign which asked, "If you had a Ford Explorer for a week, what would you do and where would you go?" Ford actually got in touch with Pastor Sterger and said they would like to fulfill his request.

"I didn't expect anything to happen from that because who does expect anything from that?" Sterger joked. "But four weeks later, we got a call from Ford."1

Since Sterger's original Alaska idea couldn't exactly be done in a week, especially with the bad weather at the time so Ford decided to bring him and his 5 pastors to the Grand Canyon instead.

To top it all off Sterger's group was accompanied by a film crew, the host of "Treasure Hunter" on the Travel Channel and the five day adventure was all documented to be played on TV.

To make things interesting, the film crew placed some "treasure" in the Grand Canyon to be found. Once the Ford Explorer got them to the buried treasure it turned out to be cash which all five men promptly donated to the Salvation Army.

Ford really surprised Russel Sterger, but Chuck Stevens Ford doesn't think you'll be surprised by the incredible Ford Explorer. Visit us today at 1304 HWY 31 South, Bay Minette, AL 36507 for a test drive.
